Apollo Flowerchild is an NYC-based singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist who isn’t married to any single genre. Since starting their musical journey 8 years ago they have managed to sing on Broadway, be recognized by billboard among other publications, and perform all across NYC music venues including but not limited to The Mercury Lounge, Heaven can wait, Rockwood Music hall, 3 Dollar Bill and Purgatory. Apollos voice Carries a sense of soulful light and beauty and is pushed even further by thoughtful, earnest and wacky lyricism. Apollo believes "genre is simply a storytelling tool to help easily characterize the atmosphere of a song but what happens if no single genre satisfies you? you experiment! you alchemize musical motifs and textures to do the job you want it to." there has been no shortage of exploration with their debut Album Drawing 101 introducing Apollos tastes for fun New Orleans brass with "I THINK I KNOW?" the tender simplicity of singer-songwriter folk with "A Delicate Reminder" and the their unique storytelling style glazed over glorious samba/ Bossa nova sounds in "Palavras No Osso".
