Porterfield (9PM)
Porterfield is an indie quartet that pushes the boundaries between singer-songwriter, rock, and jazz. The experimental instrumentation of vocals, guitar, synth bass, saxophone and FX, and drums creates a rich, dynamic sound. They have been nominated twice in a row for the Boston Music Awards' Jazz Artist of the Year.
Death by Comet (9:45PM)
Death by Comet is music still hot from the oven. Soul-searching, powerful, vulnerable, cathartic, and encompassing: the perfect slice of human experience. Pairs nicely with the likes of Radiohead, Grizzly Bear, Queens of the Stone Age, and Muse.
This apocalyptic, four-piece, Brooklyn-based ensemble consists of James Clark (bass guitar + vocals), Jacob Aviner (lead electric guitar + vocals), PJ Holaday (drums), and is fronted by Alec Hutson (guitar/piano + lead vocals).
“Hutson’s vocal commands a power like few other male singers I have come across…His range and tone is gorgeous and forceful in the same breath. There is an unbridled energy in how he pushes the entire arrangement forward with his vocal…its staggering.” - Red Line Roots
