Marty I’m Afraid is a folk/indie/rock-influenced trio from Bayonne, New Jersey. We’ve been writing and making music together since April 2023 and have been performing our songs around North Jersey for the past year. Marty members Julia Haviland, Harry Horowitz, and Melanie Ruiz are not just band mates, but roomates, co cat parents, and friends, which brings a level of authenticity and vulnerability to our songs and live performances. Our debut EP, Avenue C: Sides A and B, will be out in late April! We are so excited to make our NYC debut at Rockwood Music Hall, especially the week of our band’s 1st birthday!
