In March, the roots rock duo NICKCASEY released their fourth album, Life In My Head, with a bittersweet sendoff show here at Rockwood Music Hall—in April, Casey would be leaving New York for good, ending the twenty-year tenure of one of the city’s best prosaic songwriting pairs. But then, in May, Nick (Orange Is The New Black) did Rockwood the favor of filling in for a last-minute cancellation. And Nick didn’t hate it! Ha! So now, in June, Rockwood is letting him have the 11 o’clock slot, so he can put his family to bed before heading in from Jersey to play some songs. And maybe some Bach.
