Nashville based Ruby Rae writes and performs music that defies easy categorization: a catalog of influences would include Lori McKenna, Wanda Jackson, and Mazzy Star. Simultaneously catchy and psychological, the sound is cinematic and complex, drawing on diverse sources that include film, mythology, and autobiography. Ruby Rae recently collaborated on a brand new cosmic American record with Producer Lawson White titled True Crime, released fall 2022, and is currently releasing Misdemeanor remixes with various producers.
